Set in Newcastle upon Tyne, 43 km from Alnwick Castle, Otterburn Castle offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. We stayed here twice on our way to and from the Cairngorms, with our golden retriever. I have stayed in literally hundreds of hotels but have never been anywhere with such a warm welcome and that is so dog-friendly. The whole team are lovely and could not do enough to make our stay pleasant. The castle itself is a lovely place with some surprising features. We would not hesitate to recommend Otterburn Castle and will definitely visit again.

The Lemonfield Hotel is located on the seafront in Sunderland's Seaburn. Rooms include a TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and a private bathroom. Some rooms have a sea view. Staff very friendly and great customer service. My room was perfect, one of the best sleeps I've ever had. Breakfast was very nice worth the price. Would absolutely stay again.
